"Céir bheach" is Irish for beeswax.
Having achieved modest success at preparing beeswax products for the show bench, this year, 2020, was bereft of industrious preparations for showing candles and cakes of wax.

We, instead, turned our hands to making a moisturising cream that would be both healing, and very easily absorbed.  This meant that we had to find a way of emulsifying the oil-based ingredients such as johoba and beeswax, with water. We decided to use borax and we chose a very basic recipe with just two oils, beeswax and water, and without any scent, as our basic moisturiser. The results were delightful and once poured into some pretty blue glass jars, they seemed to appeal to everyone who saw them.  So we are busy pursuing our next goal: getting the product approved by the HPRA (Health Products Regulatory Authority).  So, it could take awhile.  Please check in with us on our new journey and keep up to date on facebook. Míle buíochas.
